Old black wolf,
black as night,
dark as frolf,
snarling teeth,
the boundary wreath.
Ye blocked my path,
the forest's mast;
ye warned me through,
ye warmed me pass,
ye warned me do-
ye knew me too.
Sovereign was,
and sovereign be,
sovereign all eternity.
Let it be,
be it may;
boundary stones,
be it lone.
Betrayals teach,
the lessons leach;
the flesh rebuilds,
fulfilment filled.
Promise kept,
promise wept-
at a cost,
nothing lost.
The wolf protects,
the wolf projects.
Be it is,
be it may,
it will be.
